===Brutal Difficulty===
Beatrice will not attack in her first phase, and will instead run away and attract enemies similarly to normal difficulty. However, after the player gets her to 50% health, a demonic red circle will appear around her and she will morph into a [[Enemies|Gargoyle]] wearing a shawl, and heal for around 25% of her health. She has the same attacks as a regular Gargoyle:

==Strategy==
On normal difficulty, Beatrice will run away from the player when attacked and will call out for help to attract other enemies. She does not have any attacks and the fight is entirely focused around clearing the Militia enemies while chasing her. It is common for Beatrice to run into groups of other mobs causing the player to become overwhelmed if she is not killed quickly so using abilities that limit enemy movement may be useful in this hunt. Anything that slows her down (e.g. Ice spells or stuns) or knocks her back will be helpful to keep her in place once you've managed to corner her by a wall or inside of a house. You can also use the Harpoon special attack of an Iron grade or higher spear to reel her back towards you.

On Brutal difficulty, the same applies until Beatrice reaches 50% HP, whereupon she transforms into a gargoyle. At this point, any Militia guards will attack her instead of defending her and she will attack them in turn. Her gargoyle forms deals high damage but has no ranged abilities beyond its leaps and can therefore be kited and damaged with ranged weapons and spells.

On normal difficulty, the best choice for attacking her is to fully clear the village of all other enemies before killing her. This is mostly the same on Brutal, with the caveat that keeping some Militia guards alive in one corner of the village can be useful for distracting her Gargoyle form.

Two other V Bloods, [[Christina the Sun Priestess]] and [[Jade the Vampire Hunter]], will occasionally patrol through Dawnbreak Village and come to Beatrice's defense if she's being attacked in human form. However, if she's in gargoyle form then they will attack her instead. If the player has unlocked the ability to track these V Bloods then they should check how close they are to the village before starting a fight.
