New page

<small>Servants</small>

Servants are created using a . Servants can be given commands and tasks to acquire resources for the castle. In order to give commands to your servants you must build a .

The maximum number of servants depends on the level of the . Be careful to use servant lock doors on the exterior of your castle/territory. Servants will freely open and close any doors that are not of the servant lock door type. Like Horses, Servants can be given custom names.

Servants will be moved alongside the castle when using the . Once converted, servants cannot be moved between existing s.

How to Capture a Servant
Dominate is a Vampire Power that allows you to subdue lifeforms with an active blood type and convert them into loyal Servants or Prisoners. However, only human and some draculin targets may become Servants.

To successfully subdue a target for conversion to a Servant, you must first reduce their health below 30%, activate Dominate, and channel the (default key R) to dominate the target. The target may still attack during the channel.

Once a target is subdued they will enter a neutral, dormant state where their attacks are disabled, but they can still take damage from enemies. They're then able to be placed in a or imprisoned.

are unavailable while a target is subdued, it is therefore recommended to use the Dusk Caller consumable to transport the target to an empty almost immediately, or use Cave Passages.

Once placed in a coffin the conversion process will begin, taking 20 (10) minutes in real time. (Crypt Flooring)<br>It costs to convert (revive) a Servant. Servants cannot be revived while the "Castle Under Attack" status effect is active.

Expertise
As of Update 1.1, a Servant's expertise is equal to <u>half</u> their blood quality percentage.

Expertise will influence 4 things: Max Health, Physical Power, Hunt Proficiency & Loot.

The health and power values are increased by the percentage directly. Whereas the Hunt Proficiency increase is a flat amount added to their base 100 Proficiency. For example, a Gear Level 20 Servant with 10% expertise, will have a total of:<br>
100 + (20*10) + 10 = 310 Hunt Proficiency.<br>
Finally, the amount of loot obtained from successful hunts is increased by half the expertise % value.

Servant Hunts
After converting a target into a servant at a , you can sit on a to send servants on hunts at locations you've visited. Servants have 100 base hunt proficiency.

You can interact with a servant to provide them gear. This increases their hunt profiency by 10 times their gear level, as well as their combat stats for castle defense. Gear Level works the same for Servants as it does for players, generally speaking, by proportionally increasing their max health and damage (physical power). See Gear Level for more info.

The only equipment stat that matters to servants is Gear Level. All other secondary equipment stats have no effect, including set bonuses and durability level. They have the same equipment slots available as the player except for cape and headgear. After returning from a hunt, servants will carry the loot in their inventory.

Hunt Duration
The duration of a hunt affects rewards as well as the chance of success. Shorter hunts earn more resources-per-hour, but have a higher risk of failure. If a hunt is unsuccesful, the servant will likely be killed. Servants can be resurrected at their coffin for over 10 minutes.

+ Hunt Duration Table
Hunt Duration !! Loot Amount !! Success Chance
Relative yield
2 hours || 50% || 0%
100.0%
4 hours || 75% || +5%
16 hours || 150% || +20%
37.5%

The completion time for a hunt is based on real-world time. It is not necessary to leave the game running, and it doesn't matter whether you play a solo "offline" game or you're on a dedicated "online" server. For example, if you start a 16-hour hunt in a solo game at 6:00 pm and immediately exit the game (stopping the solo-game "server"), the hunt will complete at 10:00 am the next day, whether or not you're playing at that time.

Prior to Update 1.1, Servants could be injured during hunts. This has now been removed from the game.

Blood Type & Faction Perks
Servants have 2 perks that each will provide a benefit when going on hunts in which the perks are active.

The first perk is based on Blood Type, and will reduce the difficulty of a Hunt in a given location by 100.<br>
The second perk is determined by their faction, ie. location of origin, increasing loot gained from successful hunts in that region by 20%.

Blood Type Perks do not stack, so sending a diverse group of servants on hunts is advised. <noinclude>The supported perks of each area can be found via the interface.</noinclude>
Tips & Trivia
*Servants and the hunts they're sent on are tied to the territory's . This means you can send servants from different territories to hunt at the same location simultaneously.
* Cursed Forest Hunter Perk is currently <u>exclusive</u> to Werewolves from Gracefall Village, including those few wandering the roads of Dunley Farmlands.
**As a Servant they will no longer transform, only when imprisoned.
**Despite having a blood type, Witches cannot be turned into servants, only prisoners.
*Corrupted human enemies with the Oakveil Hunter Perk have mixed blood. Their original blood type will determine their first perk.
*The <u>only</u> draculin units that may be converted into Servants are Vampire Cultists, Night Maidens, Dark Temptresses and Exsanguinators.
*The Blood Quality of an enemy as it appears in the world is always rounded down. However, on conversion it will round to the nearest integer. For example, both 90.1% and a 90.9% blood quality units will appear as 90% in the world. But once converted, the latter will round up to 91%. Unconfirmed if this allows units to round up to 100% or not.
