Erwin can have multiple lightning horses on the field if he uses this move again before the first horse has been dealt with, however each horse has a very low amount of health.

Erwin's high movement speed on horseback can make him challenging to keep up with, so ranged abilities such as {{Ability|Chaos Volley}} and Iron tier and above Axes' {{Ability|X-Strike}} are particularly effective here.

'''Twin Lightning''' is one of Erwin's most frequent attacks but can be easily dodged if you learn how to bait it. This attack will always attempt to fire in the direction that the player is moving, so abruptly changing direction as he fires it will often lead to it missing.

On brutal difficulty, it is absolutely essential to kill his lightning horse summons as soon as possible. They have very little health so they should die quickly but are very fast and can make the fight extremely difficult by stunning the player or forcing them to split their attention between Erwin and the horse.
