(Not to be confused with [[Daytime]], which is the time of day in game.)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Time generally plays a big role in mechanics like base building and crafting, as well as in cooldowns of abilities.&lt;br /&gt;
Many structures will only work for a specific maximum period of time (e.g. mist braziers) or will decay if not maintained (e.g. castle hearts).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Time in V Rising is measured in seconds (unverified&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;Needs verificiation, if there is an actual tickrate for the game&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt;).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This can be seen in the description texts of the GUI itself or when trying to use abilities that are still on cooldown (left-over cooldown displayed in red on mouse cursor), when crafting items (inside the crafted items display) or when filling base structures (e.g. castle heart) with consumable reagents (left-over time is being displayed in GUI).&lt;br /&gt;
