</group> </infobox>V Rising is an open-world top-down hack'n'slash sandbox survival game developed and published by
Stunlock Studios. It was released in Early Access on Steam for Microsoft Windows on May 17, 2022.
As part of V Rising's first Halloween Event, the game was first made free-to-play from October 28th to November 1st, 2022, and again from September 12th to September 16th, 2024 and from May 14th to May 18th, 2026.
A year after its early access release on May 17th, 2023, it received its first major update: The Secrets of Gloomrot.
The following year it would receive another large update when it fully released on Steam on May 8th, 2024.
V Rising launched on PS5 on June 11th, with players who pre-ordered the Castlevania Edition or the Complete edition (all DLCs) getting a head start on June 6th, 2024.
The Update 1.1: Invaders of Oakveil has been the biggest to date, reworking many of the game's systems and combat stats. It released on April 28th, 2025.
Stunlock Studios has announced that there will be no more major expansions to the game, only intermittent balance and bug fix updates as the studio shifts its focus to developing a new game also set in the world of V Rising.

The game currently has 2 free and 5 paid DLC Packs. All DLC contents are only cosmetic in nature. DLC exclusive items such as Armours, Cloaks, Hats & Saddles (Horse skins) are tradeable among players on the same server.
