Description
Using stairs you can construct a multi-level castle. To add another floor to your castle, simply place the stairs, climb them to the next level and expand your castle using foundations.
Stairs can also be built on top of terrain slopes.

Stone Stairs are used to construct multi-level castles, as well as extend Castle Flooring tiles up and down terrtain slopes. To construct it, there are a few restrictions:
- It cannot be placed in a manner that blocks territory entrance slopes.
- When deconstructing stairs, there must either be no tile connected to the top of the stairs, or an alternate set of stairs connected to all the tiles on that floor. This enables you to move staircases without deconstructing the entire connected floor.
- There must be room for connecting one floor tile to both the bottom and the top of the stairs.
- If an alternate set of stairs are connected to the same floor, then the bottom of the stairs has no floor tile restriction.
Stairs count as a wall for the purposes of the Enclosed Room Floor Bonus. However, if you don't enclose stairs with Walls properly, you may risk an enemy player jumping onto them using 
Toad Form or Horse dismount.
Variations Plague Sanctum, Ancient Symphony and Nocturnal Opulence are exclusive to their respective DLCs.
