(Real) Time is a fundamental concept of the game mechanics in V Rising.

(Not to be confused with Daytime, which is the time of day in game.)

Time generally plays a big role in mechanics like base building and crafting, as well as in cooldowns of abilities. Many structures will only work for a specific maximum period of time (e.g. mist braziers) or will decay if not maintained (e.g. castle hearts).

Time in V Rising is measured in seconds (unverified<ref>Needs verificiation, if there is an actual tickrate for the game</ref>).

This can be seen in the description texts of the GUI itself or when trying to use abilities that are still on cooldown (left-over cooldown displayed in red on mouse cursor), when crafting items (inside the crafted items display) or when filling base structures (e.g. castle heart) with consumable reagents (left-over time is being displayed in GUI).
