Cursed Forest

The Cursed Forest is located at the top right of the map, to the northeast of the Dunley Farmlands, east of Gloomrot South and north of Ruins of Mortium.

This region is a great place to gather some of the more obscure crafting materials. Ghost Crystal, Ghost Shrooms, Silkworms, Pristine Hide, Cursed Wood and Regular Gems can be found here.

There are 2 V Blood Carriers that roam the roads of the Cursed Forest, Gorecrusher the Behemoth and Ben the Old Wanderer, with the latter one exclusively patrolling the roads. The rest are located at specific locations. This is a late Act II region recommended to Gear Level 63 or higher.

This is only region where Blood Snappers and Swamp Dwellers can be fished.

Debuff

There is a constant building debuff while in the area called Curse of the Forest; it builds up relatively quickly to 100 at which point your viewing distance is decreased and there is fog over your mini map as well as your map. You can temporarily negate the effect by releasing a wisp or permanently by equipping a Shroud of the Forest.

Servants

There are no active human settlements in the Cursed Forest. There appear to be remnants of villages, though these are inhabited by the undead. Humans can be found in the Spider Cave inside silk cocoons, with a random chance of spawning when one is destroyed. Unfortunately, however, these humans do not have the Cursed Forest Hunter Perk. The perk is exclusive to Werewolf Villagers from Gracefall Village.

Cursed Forest Waygate

An old Vampire Waygate. A suitable target for teleportation magic.

There are 2 in the region.

Lurker Dwelling

Burrows of vile creatures lay here.

A small area with up to 3 Lurkers, making it a good place to farm Pristine Hide.

Mosquito Nest

A nest of blood-sucking mosquitos. A small area with up to 3 Mosquitos, making it a good place to farm Pristine Hide.

Witch Hut

The nest of a forest witch.

A small area rich in Ghost Shroom with a Witch that also drops the same loot. Trippy Shrooms rarely spawn here.

Spider Cave

A lair filled with monstrous spiders.

A cave unaffected by the curse of the forest nor sunlight. It's filled with all kinds of spider enemies such as Spiderlings, Unstable Spiders, Crawlers, Weavers and Broodmothers. This is a great place to farm Thick Hide and Silkworm. Golden Chests commonly spawn here.

Swamp of Greed

Consumed by greed, the Duke guards his horde.

A boss arena. Though the area itself has no resources, it's surrounded by a swamp rich in enemies such as Cursed Spitter Toads, Cursed Slime Toads and Mosquitos, making it a good place to farm Thick Hide and Pristine Hide.

Ancient Village

An abandoned village haunted by old spirits.

A ruined village filled with Cult of the Damned enemies such as Ghost Assassins, Ghost Guardians and Banshees. This area is a good place to farm Ghost Shrooms, Ghost Crystal, Scourgestone and Spectral Dust. This area has plenty of containers and Golden Chests commonly spawn here.

Cursed Village

An abandoned village haunted by old spirits.

A ruined village filled with Cult of the Damned enemies such as Ghost Assassins, Ghost Guardians and Banshees. This area is a good place to farm Ghost Shrooms, Ghost Crystal, Scourgestone and Spectral Dust. This area has plenty of containers and Golden Chests commonly spawn here.

Nest of the Curse Weaver

Home of the witch-mother, where she grows many of the horrors of the Cursed Forest.

A very small boss arena with a few Ghost Shrooms and rarely Trippy Shrooms.

Lair of the Behemoth

V Blood: Gorecrusher the Behemoth
A wandering monstrosity finds rest here from time to time.

A big covered boss arena unaffected by sunlight and rich in Ghost Shroom.
