The Study is the next step up from the Research Desk, and allows for the discovery of new tier 2 crafting recipes (blueprints). See the Athenaeum for tier 3 blueprints.

Consuming Scrolls will discover a random blueprint within a category. Blueprint books are always consumed first when discovering, if the blueprint hasn't been unlocked yet.
It costs 4225 Scrolls to research every tier 2 technology by random discovery.

Knowledge of blueprints is shared between all vampires in a clan. Vampires not in the clan may also steal knowledge by interacting with the Study.

Blueprints are sold directly at the Dunley Farmers Market.
Some V Blood Carriers are guaranteed to drop select blueprint types:

Magic: Raziel the Shepherd
Weapons: Meredith the Bright Archer & Jade the Vampire Hunter
Armour: Bane the Shadowblade, Octavian the Militia Captain & Angram the Purifier
