The General's Soul Reaper used to be crafted after obtaining The General's Soul Reaper Orb dropped by an Undead Commander in Haunted Iron Mine or Church of the Damned. It was removed with the Gloomrot update.

It was likely meant as a prerequisite test for the current Ancestral Weapons.
