Meredith is a true believer in the Church of Luminance. She believes her power is a gift from the Light to wield against dark forces, much as the original Paladins were given the Light to strike down Dracula and the Vampire legions. As brave as she is naive to the Church’s descent into avarice and gluttony, this holy archer is blinded by the light, focused only on her pursuit of justice at any cost.

Location

Meredith can be found patrolling the Haunted Iron Mine in southern Dunley Farmlands. She is escorted by 2 Militia Archers and 2 Militia Guards. She will patrol the mine while attacking any undead she comes across, including Kriig the Undead General, but will occasionally exit the mine and take a brief break before returning to her hunt.

Attacks

Her arrows will heal her Militia allies if they strike them.

Arrow Shot - She fires a single arrow at the player.
Blessed Shot - She shouts "Bless this shot!" then fires an an arrow in the direction the player is moving, predicting their path. This arrow deals heavy damage and incapacitates the player if it hits them.
Dash - She occasionally dashes around the area up to 4 times, damaging targets she passes through.

At half health, she'll gain 2 additional attacks:

Summon Militia Guard - She shouts "For Luminance!", and summons 2 Militia Guards.
Arrow Barrage - She shouts "Light, guide my arrows!", then shoots 10 arrows upward that will fall around her. This attack stuns the player if they get hit.

Brutal Difficulty

Arrow Shot - This ability now fires 6 arrows in a cone in front of her instead of just 1.
Blessed Shot - This ability can now ricochet off of other enemies or the terrain.

Strategy

Meredith will frequently fight Kriig the Undead General and his skeleton warriors, leaving one of them dead and the other on low enough health that they'll be easier to defeat. On brutal difficulty, Kriig will almost always defeat Meredith due to his exploding undead unless the player intervenes to distract him or he spends too long standing on burning ground created by Meredith's militia archers.

If the player chooses not to bait her into fighting Kriig, then it is still highly recommended to fight her inside the mine rather than at its entrance. Any militia soldiers and passing V Bloods (such as Vincent the Frostbringer, Christina the Sun Priestess, and Simon Belmont the Vampire Hunter) will come to Meredith's aid if they spot her fighting there.

Meredith is most easily fought with ranged weapons and spells that allow the player to damage her while dodging her arrows and stuns. Her Blessed Shot can be avoided by moving back and forth to confuse her predictive tracking. It is also recommended to be wary of her summoned Militia Guards, since their shield barrier can stun the player if they attack into it.
