Rift Incursions

Use your map to track Rift Incursions within the Ruins of Mortium. The Legion of Nocturn channels Dracula's power to summon powerful entities from the Shadow Realm. Destroy these Rifts to obtain ancestral weapons and stygian shards.

Rift Incursions are portals to the Shadow Realm opened through dark rituals involving blood crystals. In these world events you will face off against Dracula's Legion of Noctum - hordes of draculin vampires & monsters. 2 smaller blood crystals will be connected to the main blood crystal in the centre, indicating their location.
Destroy them by defeating enemies to end the ritual.

At the end of an incursion, a (brutal difficulty) imitation of a V Blood Carrier will be summoned, known as Lesser and Primal Blood Souls. (Tier 1 and Tier 2 respectively)
Defeating and feeding on the blood soul will destroy the blood crystal and end the Rift Incursion.

Rift Incursions come in 2 tiers. The game recommends you must be at least level 57 for Tier 1, and 80 for Tier 2 incursions. With more elite Draculin being summoned in Tier 2. Rifts occur in 30 min intervals and last 20 mins.
The Eye of Mortium allows the player to track when Rift Incursion events will be active in Ruins of Mortium.

Rewards

Tier 1:

Stygian Shards (amount varies with the # of players present as well as Server Settings.)
High chance of Tier 2 Jewels, low chance of Tier 3 Jewels
20% chance to get a random Study Blueprint.
50% chance to get a Rare Weapon Shard.

Tier 2:

Greater Stygian Shards (amount varies with the # of players present as well as Server Settings but is ~65 with one player and default settings.)
~30% chance to get a Vampire Awakening Scroll.
52.6% chance to get a Tier 3 Jewel and ~20% chance to get a Tier 4 Jewel.
~6% to get a Epic Weapon Shard & ~4% chance to get a Legendary Artifact Shard.
+5 liters refill of current Blood Pool and +750 Soul Shard durability upon feeding on the Primal Blood Soul.
