Seeds & Saplings

Seeds and Saplings are items rarely dropped when harvesting the corresponding plant. Other sources include:

Purchasing seeds from Herbs & Potions Vendors.
Containers & Golden Chests.
Killing a Giant Rat spawned from the Vermin Nest, which has a chance to drop low grade seeds.
Killing a Blood Treant from the Stygian Summoning Circle will drop 4-8 seeds of various types & saplings.

These items can then be planted in a player owned castle to have a consistent source of the resource, or to be used as decoration. Player-grown versions of the plants will also drop seeds but regrow at a far slower rate than world plants.

Seed / sapling drop amount is affected by the Resource Yield attribute such that using Worker Blood or the Pristine Leather Bag will cause two seeds to be acquired per drop instead one.

Seeds can be put into any Growing Plot, with more seeds fitting into larger plots. Saplings may only be planted in a Large Growing Plot, and take the entire plot. Putting the seed/sapling on the hotbar and activating it will bring up the build menu, and allow you to plant it into an available growing plot. All of them are teleportable.

Seeds can be placed in Vases if a smaller than 'Large' Growing Plot is placed beneath it. The planted seeds will adjust to the height of the vase, like other plant decorations. <table-progress-tracking table-id="1" unique-column-index="1">
