Nibbles the Putrid Rat is a Level 30 V Blood Carrier.

Location

Nibbles cannot spawn naturally, it only appears when summoned via the Vermin Nest. Nibbles will be summoned where the Vermin Nest is placed and will return to that location if de-aggroed. It will not change locations even if the Vermin Nest is moved by the player after it was summoned.

Attacks

Bite - The standard melee attack.
Rage - Nibbles glows red, then melee attacks 6 times in a row.
Poison Explosion - Nibbles shakes its coat and releases a green poison mist that explodes in an area around it after a delay.
Summon Minions - Nibbles burrows into the ground, temporarily leaving the fight while summoning 3 Giant Rats. More rats will steadily join the fight until 9 have been summoned in total.

Brutal Difficulty

Poison Explosion - The explosion will now be released instantly when Nibbles uses Rage and then again after a delay.

Strategy

Due to how it is summoned, Nibbles can be easily fought when and where the player desires. Placing the Vermin Nest in front of a road patrolled by powerful V Bloods (such as Tristan the Vampire Hunter or Simon Belmont the Vampire Hunter) can lead to them killing it for you. Nibbles will also fight strong regular enemies such as Stone Golems and Treants, so the player can summon him in a land plot where these enemies are lying in wait. Alternatively, the player can wait till they've acquired and outfitted several strong Servants before fighting Nibbles alongside them.

The player should be careful not to accidentally lock themself into or out of their home by summoning Nibbles near the entrance when they aren't yet strong enough to defeat it. If this occurs then they may need to lure higher level enemies to fight Nibbles for them or to set up a temporary second base where they can upgrade their gear to a high enough level.

Nibbles' Poison Explosion attack is by far its most dangerous attack, especially on Brutal difficulty where it is hard to predict. As a result, it is recommended to use ranged weapons and spells to avoid fighting it in melee range and to summon it in a large area where the player can move about freely. Area of effect spells (such as Bone Explosion or Ice Nova) are also recommended to deal with the rat minions.
