Overview
The Redistribution Engine unlocks a new tab on most Crafting and Refinement Structures that allows you to create a connection between them, manually or automatically redirecting the outputs from one structure to the inputs of another, or to a Storage Container. For example, a ![]()
Grinder producing ![]()
Pollen can automatically send it to a ![]()
Loom producing ![]()
Coarse Thread, which in turn can send those to a ![]()
Paper Press producing ![]()
Scrolls, which then finally sends them to a Storage Container.
Once connections are made from the redistribution tab, a "Quick Send All" button becomes available (shortcut R). This will send everything stored in the "Output" of a crafting or refinement station to its connected structures / containers. This includes Items which the refinement station wouldn't normally produce.
Refinement structures will only accept materials that are required for currently enabled recipes.
Each engine increases the number of connections that can be made throughout the castle by 8.
One station can be connected to up to 10 others, but there is no load balancing - outputs will only be sent to lower-priority structures if all higher-priority ones are full.

Advanced Strategies
While the Redistribution Engine is excellent at automatically moving materials between Refinement Structures automatically, it leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to distributing the initial Raw Resources, as they cannot be pulled directly from the Treasury, unlike Crafting Structures.
To alleviate the hassle of traveling to each refinement station and manually inserting raw resources from the inventory, it can be semi-automated using the "Quick Send All" feature.
This setup requires that your refinement stations' input containers are as empty as possible, so remember to connect each one's output to either another refinement station, or to a storage container in your treasury.
Build a crafting station of your choosing, such as the ![]()
Simple Workbench or ![]()
Prison Cell. It is recommended you build it nearby your treasury room. This will serve as your distribution hub.
Connect the crafting station to 1 of each refinement station (you likely want a connection to ![]()
2 Paper Presses, however, where one of them only has the ![]()
Schematics recipe enabled).
10 connections are enough to support sending up to 8 (12 for advanced) stacks of raw resources to every refinement structure except ![]()
The Devourer, ![]()
Tomb & ![]()
Fabricator. Modify the setup to your liking if you'd like those to be included, or use an extra crafting station.
Your distribution hub should now be setup correctly, able to send any and all raw resources directly to the refinement stations that can process them, as the redistribution engine cannot send a resource to the wrong refinement station.
To send resources, interact with the crafting station, right click each raw resource in your inventory until the container is full, then navigate to the "redistribute tab" and use the shortcut R or click the "Quick Send All" button. Repeat as needed.
Be mindful that some a few resources are used at multiple refinement stations, notably the ![]()
Vermin Nest & ![]()
Stygian Summoning Circle. Either disable the unwanted recipes at the station(s), exclude them from the setup entirely, or place them at the bottom of the priority list, so relevant resources are sent there last.
Next, decide whether you want your ![]()
Loom to produce ![]()
Cloth out of your ![]()
Plant Fibre and ![]()
Leather. If you do, move it up the list so it has first priority on those resources.
Other items & excess raw materials
A similar setup can be constructed for other kinds of items and excess raw materials that weren't transferred.
For this purpose you will be connecting the hub to every Storage Container Type in your treasury, excluding ![]()
Weapon Storage, ![]()
Armor Storage & ![]()
Blood Potion Storage. If you want to also connect it to a general storage container, make sure it's at the bottom of the priority list, so items are sent there last.
However, for whatever reason only refinement stations or the ![]()
Prison Cell can be connected to every storage container in this manner, so you must use that as your "hub".
